WWYD - negative tests but think DD had covid last week

What are you supposed to do when your kid has had a negative PCR and lateral flow but you now think they MUST have had covid because all their mates currently have it?

Onset of DD’s very mild symptoms (headaches, that’s about it) was night of Wed 17th so 11 days ago, last symptom was last Monday so 6 days ago. She is feeling fine now.

Did a PCR last monday, lateral flows mon and wed. All negative.

Went back in to school on Thu/Fri after the negative tests but that was before any of her pals had tested positive. Several now have. No bubbles anymore, so only heard it on the grapevine so to speak. I’m feeling very guilty now because all the other families have to isolate and we supposedly don’t...?

Do we go send her in to school tomorrow or what? DH thinks we should do because the 10 days isolation from first symptoms would now be up anyway and since we went back to school thu/fri anyway, any damage is already done. I keep thinking we should ask for another PCR but maybe we’ve missed the boat for that now anyway.

If it’s relevant, she gets very upset and frightened about tests. But I reckon I could get her to do one of the nose-only lateral flows when she’s sleepy.

I would re test for my own peace of mind.

I would try and do another LFT but would assume she didn't have covid with a negative pcr tbh.

I would send her. If it's been 10 days since the onset of her symptoms and her test was negative, I absolutely would send her. It could have just been a huge coincidence.or lft for leave of mind as she has no symptoms.

I've felt similar recently though. Two weeks ago Dd had a hacking cough, headache, feeling clammy but no actual temp and slightly snotty. Seemed like a cold but got her a pcr for obvious reasons, test was negative so she went back to school on the Monday as she was mainly better apart from occasional cough.

A few days later I found out the previous week (before Dd got ill) her ta (she has sen) tested positive. School never told me about it and didn't tell me to test (thanks school). But coincidentally was tested as she had symptoms and negative before I even knew about the ta. I was worried sick she might of actually have covid despite the negative test. It came to nothing. Ta is back, Dd has actually had to have another test this week again (cough!) which was negative. No one else in the class has caught it off the ta (or DD if her test was in fact false negative).
