Wearing masks in the office

At work not many people are back in the office. Management keep saying people should wear masks. It is getting annoying now as some people have stopped wearing them and others have said they made up a medical condition. I don’t know how they can enforce this when masks are not law. I don’t go close to people anyway. I don’t know how an ‘exempt’ person still can’t carry the virus.

Yup, nope not doing that.

I think it’s fairly unusual to have masks in offices still, I’m not surprised there is low compliance.

I'm a GP I wear them when walking around and when patients in the room but not whilst sitting still in a bigger office. Staff the same but not when at their desks which face away from each other.

Boring.

Exempt doesn't mean magic. It means they can't wear a mask. Exemptions were / are allowed because actually masks aren't magic either - wearing a mask reduces the chance of you spreading the virus but doesn't eliminate it.

Just do your own thing and stop fussing over what other people do.

I'm in an office. I wear a mask when I'm walking round or if there are more (or vulnerable people) in the office than normally the 2 of us.
I take it off when sitting down generally.

We still have masks in the office if you aren't sat at your desk. People do comply but I'm not sure how much good it does

Absolutely pointless. It's an airborne virus, if you're sat at your desk 7 hours a day without a mask, then wearing one to make a drink or leave the building isn't going to make any difference.

@User135644 Glad you recognise this too!
