Can I drive my children to school if I have covid?

Sorry to ask here but I’ve searched and searched online and just this.
Advice is clear that children have to attend school but how do I get them there? There are no buses as we are rural.
Dh took them yesterday and today then came home and tested positive. Putting them in a taxi is an (expensive) option but seems to put the driver at risk…
So I’m wondering if I’m okay to get them if we all wear masks and keep windows open? Obviously wouldn’t step foot out of the car.. Have any of you done this?

People are ridiculous.

There is a far bigger risk of passing on Covid via OP's DC who are at school, than the OP sitting in her car.

If the first situation is allowed, then why not the second? People have seriously lost the ability to think for themselves and use their common sense!

People aren't 'ridiculous'. Throughout this whole saga we've had hapless folk constantly try to find ways round rules, it doesn't apply to them does it??! Well of course not, their kids have to get to school silly!

If you have covid, you stay at home and isolate.

Is common sense an alien concept to you?

If I ever get Covid I’ll take my kids to school as normal. I’ll take them to football training too. As long as I stay in the car I’m no risk to anyone.

'I’ll take them to football training too. As long as I stay in the car I’m no risk to anyone.'

🙄

And I'll bet you'll be one of the first wanging on if restrictions and face covers are reintroduced due to the spread and allegedly intelligent people just doing what the fuck they like. Well done you, bubz can't miss footie training.

I just have the intelligence to assess risk.

Just out of interest, how many schools mix at the football club?

When we had Covid we took the kids to school (mostly my DH as I didn't feel well enough to drive). LF test every day, negative PCR, did drop off without getting out of the car, and had someone walk them to our car for pick up.

Windows down when possible, masks on.

You can leave your house of legal obligations. And it clearly states children are legally obligated to go to school.

Oddly enough, in that one week of journeys we didn't breakdown or have an emergency once. Nor come into contact with anyone.

The children didn't catch Covid from us.
