I've had this a few times now and am really fed up. Anyone else?

Been going on since halloween for my son. So much schooling missed!

I and ds both got faint positive on lft(test of the family got clear negatives). We went for pcr and they were negative. Ds had symptoms but I didn't. We both kept getting faint positives for couple of weeks but now they are clearly negative.

Is he diabetic? I wondering if there is something that has been overlooked?

We always get a faint positive when DD has had orange juice before she takes her test even though she has waited the 30 mins after eating and drinking as required on the test instructions

When we realised this, we had her take a test, then repeated the test about 30 mins after she had drank OJ. 1st one negative, 2nd one faint positive.

Now we always make sure she takes the test before eating or drinking.

I hadn't eaten all day and had had coffees earlier on in the day - hours before. Also, these were nasal, not throat. Are hers nasal?

PCR are superior to lft so if lft posigtive and pcr negative you should be ignoring the lft. Thats gov advice

I know it is but when it's happening regularly, that is a lot of days isolating and a lot of cancellations.

Yes, thank you. I didn't mean to sound dismissive. I've just done another and it's negative- meanwhile I've cancelled tomorrow's meetings and booked a PCR. Confused

It didn't come out as dismissive, don't worry Smile

I've had two LFTs with faint lines in last month, PCRs negative. I'm testing 2-3 x a week as work in a school with high case numbers. I've used the old nose and throat LFTs each time.
