I can see a faint line...pcr booked but family don't think it is as would be darker. We are on day 9 of testing everyday for 10days due to close contact so I'm thinking it's faint as early on in infection?

I am in the south west too. I was told they’re sending them to a different lab miles away now so was reassured it wouldn’t be unreliable. I’m still not so sure though. A lot of people are having this happen this week (from my reading of the coronavirus board here on MN!)

@Beajoy82 did the line come up within the 30 mins?

I had a faint patchy line today but only after 60-90 mins (clear at 30). 3 subsequent LFTs have shown negative as are my family members (and I'm least likely to have caught it firsthand as don't commute to work or go to school). Now waiting on PCRs.

Mine literally look like this after the 15 min. Am I seeing things or some kind of indent line in the light? I had one like this, negative PCR then 3 more like this?

I can’t see anything on that one @StoppedWineIng

If you think you can, just do a pcr.

StoppedWineIng · 23/11/2021 07:56

@PurpleDaisies I did one Sunday and it was negative. Think I’m just paranoid 🤣

PurpleDaisies · 23/11/2021 07:57

I’m seeing lines everywhere!

StoppedWineIng · 23/11/2021 08:01

@PurpleDaisies I’m avoiding my vulnerable family anyway as I do have a cold (maybe) and don’t want them catching that anyway but also don’t want to be super spreading everywhere without realising!

PurpleDaisies · 23/11/2021 08:08

It’s so hard isn’t it! The only good thing about having had covid recently is knowing I’m much less likely to get it again for a while.

In case anyone interested - 3 negative PCRs today yay! And no symptoms so I'll go with that Smile

StoppedWineIng · 23/11/2021 19:28

I’ve taken another PCR this evening for peace of mind as don’t understand why all these faint lines are on my LFT but last PCR was negative. Makes me nervous to do anything!

The reason someone can have a negative test soon after a positive test is because the infection has gone. Though unfortunately in some cases the damage to the body it leaves behind contiues

This is similar to the confusion we hear around "my relative was in hospital and they said he/she had covid, but the test was negative"

You can still have symptoms or be ill from covid, but the actual virus itself does not stay in the system long.
