Travel insurance with COVID cover

Hello all,

Does anyone have any recommendations for travel insurance at the moment?

We're spending a long weekend in Europe soon. Cases are quite high where we're heading and my main concern is whether the country would bring in a lockdown just before we go or during the trip. Something that would mean we could still fly but would be stuck in our hotel and potentially have to extend the trip.

From what I can see, most travel insurance won't cover any lockdown related expenses. Is that right or has anyone seen any better policies?

We're travelling with easyJet holidays so if the whole thing can't go ahead we should at least have some cover from them.

Thank you!

I’ve used Staysure Insurance, it has covid cover.

I couldn’t find anywhere that would cover you for things like enforced lockdown. The Staysure one I was looking at was only if you caught Covid or had to self isolate because of Covid,

Hopefully someone will correct me

We went with Coverwise.

But same cover as Cannot mentioned.

I've used LV in recent times.

If you have booked a package with EasyJet they will refund the whole thing if there's a lockdown either end. At least, that was the case last year but you should check their latest policies.
