Can anyone stop me worrying that I've done a stupid thing getting my booster today please!
My 3 year old caught COVID 15 days ago at a kids party (we know this as lots of others since tested positive) - he started with symptoms 11 days ago and got a positive pcr test the next day - mine, my husband and 5 year olds all negative. My 5 year old and I were coughing and sneezing from last Saturday so we went for another pcr (3 days after the first) - both negative. I've done LFTs on us both since and all negative so we assumed it must be a different bug, and he returned to school on Tuesday having discussed with school first.
My husband started sneezing on Thursday and did an lft on Friday which was negative so again he assumed he'd caught what DS1 and I must have.
Today I went for my booster (Moderna, I'm T1 diabetic). Got home, DH decided to do another lft as hadn't done one yesterday - positive. Shit. Mine still negative.
I'm now concerned I've had the booster but could actually have COVID just not yet shown up on tests yet. I told the nurse my 3 year old had it, I'd had a cold but tested negative on pcr & LFTs since so she said it was ok to have it. If DH had got the positive before my appt I probably wouldn't have gone though
Any words of reassurance of anyone who caught Covid very soon after having a vax?!
