Almost a week of being sick with Covid

In the first day or two, I had a headache and generally felt unwell. By Wednesday the chronic exhaustion had settled and each afternoon I crash to bed and sleep for approximately 3 hours. I have nausea and just feel terrible. lethargic and depressed. I am double jabbed, I am also in my early 50s, when did the lethargy lift?? I am self employed and have to cancel all my work this week. I am starting to get worried as the lethargy is so horrible. No appetite and nausea off and on. When does it reduce? When do you start feeling better. Its been a week (although it feels much longer)...

I am of course self isolating but I just want to start having some hope as I feel so rotten. No taste or smell.

@sebedina1 I’m sorry but don’t expect to be better by day 10 of self isolation because it doesn’t work like that. So now you know and won’t panic. But you will get better even if at the moment you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. In my case it took about three weeks.

My first properly good day, when I felt like I was actually not ill anymore, was exactly 2 weeks after the positive test result. I felt bad on day 9, 10 and 11. Went to work on days 12, 13 and 14, but was really tired. Felt better being out and about than stuck in though.

A month in and I still have terrible fatigue.

3 weeks for me. The first 7 days I felt really really rough. The second week, I felt pretty naff. Week 3, I slowly worked my way back to normal. I happened to be away on holiday and I had to do one day on, one day off in terms of day trips & activities with my kids. I was fine by the end of the week & totally recovered (bar still not having a sense of smell).

My friends is early 40 double jabbed and is on a month. Though functioning and back at work. Still fatigued and suffering from some symptoms.

Other people I know have been completely fine with a week or two. Seems to hit people differently.

Double jabbed here. Due booster day after testing positive. Now on Day 10. Still in my pyjamas. Got up last evening and watched a bit of TV for the first time in over a week. The bore hole in my frontal lobe has stopped but I am beyond tired. Doctor monitoring my Oxygen SATS daily . They are 93/94% which probably explains the tiredness.
Hoping to be up to WFH on Tuesday. But not banking on it .
