Just that really. I think I can see a very faint line but not sure I’m imagining it.
Thanks

Anyone? I’m trying to decide on getting a pcr test or not. Thank you

Both me & my partner say that's a negative.

My lateral flow came up with a vivid red line literally straight away ( both currently recovering from Covid )

SilverGlassHare · 19/11/2021 12:46

I’m not usually a ‘line eyes’ poster but I think I can see something. Sorry.

Ohchristmastreeohchristmastree · 19/11/2021 13:19

I can see a line. It isn’t easy to spot though and it’s like one of those optical illusion, when something disappears when you stare at it.

squintyant · 19/11/2021 13:21

Thank you both for taking the time to reply. I guess I could try re-testing tomorrow but I am actually out of tests and it is a hassle to get any more today. Also I'm wondering if it (if anything is even there) is this faint would it even come up positive at this stage on a par test. I hope you both feel better soon @pollyroo.

I'm feeling a bit headachy and tired and my toothpaste tastes strange but these could be phantom covid symptoms.

I can see a line. Best squinter line ever though!

bloodywhitecat · 19/11/2021 13:22

I see a line.

Dyerun · 19/11/2021 13:22

Book a PCR, on the basis of altered taste

squintyant · 19/11/2021 13:24

Oh gosh I'm freaking out a bit now as I expected nobody else to see it! I can taste everything else just toothpaste is a bit weird. I will book a pcr for tomorrow. Thank you all.

OP posts:
RhubarbTea · 19/11/2021 13:25

Toothpaste was the first thing to go weird for me, taste-wise - I'd already had a whacking great line by that point though. I'd be tempted to test again later and see.

squintyant · 19/11/2021 13:26

Thanks @RhubarbTea that's interesting about the toothpaste. I would feel better about getting a pcr if I had a proper result on this one, I will see if there's a way to get more of these to repeat this evening. I'm just a bit far from anywhere I can get them.

OP posts:
CRbear · 19/11/2021 13:32

Mine was like that the day before I tested and got a blaring red line within seconds. PCR done the same day as the faint line came back positive

squintyant · 19/11/2021 13:33

Thanks @CRbear I really can’t believe other people can see something! Confused

OP posts:
mrshodgeheg · 19/11/2021 13:37

I can see it too, sorry.

Just book the PCR. The sooner you get it, the sooner you'll get the results.

With doubt in your mind you wouldn't feel comfortable going about your normal life anyway I imagine.

ColettesEarrings · 19/11/2021 13:38

That's fairly obvious actually, given some of the ones posted on here! Just book a pcr for tomorrow.

squintyant · 19/11/2021 13:44

Thanks all I have booked a pcr for tomorrow and will report back (as it always annoys me when people don’t!)

Just to say, I did a PCR a few hours after getting a very very, barely there line on an LFT that had definitely been negative earlier in the day (I'd been doing daily LFTs as covid in the house, all negative, but had started to feel not quite right later in the day) and my PCR came back positive - so I think its a bit of a myth that a PCR wouldn't pick it up early on.
playingdevilsavocado · 19/11/2021 15:16

I can see a line and I bet £10 on a positive PCR

squintyant · 19/11/2021 15:17

Thanks @playingdevilsavocado Grin I’ll definitely come back and update in that case!

Grin
VsgKitt · 19/11/2021 15:21

I can see it.

Test tomorrow will be darker. PCR too

Blossomandbee · 19/11/2021 15:23

I see it but I've had them that faint before and it's turned out to be negative.
I'm waiting on a pcr result too for a faint positive this morning, although now testing negative. It's all very confusing

playingdevilsavocado · 22/11/2021 02:19

Ooh waiting for the result

squintyant · 22/11/2021 13:55

Just to update, I got the pcr result and it was negative! I will continue to do the antigen tests every few days though. I’m definitely feeling a bit off today but that could just be tiredness etc.

OP posts:
StoppedWineIng · 22/11/2021 20:25

I’ve had the same, faint positive LFT Sunday, PCR same day. Negative result today and 2 very faint LFT tonight. These are the new nasal ones!
