I’m on day 6 and I feel the worst I’ve felt so far, the first few days were mild but now I can get out of bed and my taste and smell has gone. Just wondering when people’s worst days were and what day they started to feel better? I know this virus is so weird and we are all different….

I’m on day 9 so not totally out of it yet and still don’t feel right . My worst days so far were days 3-5 I would say , after that slowly started to feel better but feel a bit stuck now with headache and still feel exhausted .

Saturday - tested positive after being informed I was a close contact. No symptoms at that point.

Monday - started sneezing and losing my sense of smell and taste.

Tuesday and Wednesday - worst days. Blocked snotty nose, phlegmy cough, high temperature, lost all sense of smell and taste completely. Although I wasn't bedridden and was still able to shower, cook for DS etc (single parent).

Thursday onward started to gradually feel better, was fuzzy headed for a few days and my smell and taste took a month to return.

I don't know what day I actually contracted Covid - I tested positive on a Saturday but was with the person I caught it from every day from Monday to Friday that week (work colleague) and she tested positive the day before me.

Sat night bad headache.
Sunday morning worse. Did an lft as fue at a large christening. Amazed to get a strong positive. Went for pcr which did come back positive too.
Sunday night and Monday had high temp and couldnt get warm. Slept lots.
Tues noticed smell gone and taste was weird.
Wed started with a cough.

On day 12 now and still left feeling wheezy and breathless and tired but all other symptoms have settled.

Day 1 - tired
Day 2 - very achy
Day 3-9 - extreme sinus pain, congested, headache, no sense of smell & minimal taste. Just felt generally shit. My heart rate was really high on my Fitbit. Was up & down through each day really. I have young kids so I didn’t really get lots of time to rest. When they were at school/nursery thankfully but I had to muddle through & play & cook etc!
Day 10 - felt a bit better but annoyingly started coughing on day 10 🤦🏼‍♀️
Day 10-14 - still felt rough, coughing but managed the school run & half a days work
14-21 - got better over time. I pushed myself gently. We had a holiday planned for half term & I went. I had to do one day on & one day off mostly. The day off I was knackered.

After 3 weeks, I was fine. I’m about 6 weeks on now & still only have about 30% smell. It comes & goes. My taste is mostly fine but it’s def effected by how much I can smell! I can’t for example smell or taste garlic at all. The flavour has completely gone! But most stuff is fine!
