How long after positive PCR will a test show negative?

I've tested positive on a PCR test and I'd be grateful to hear about other peoples experiences of how long it took for them to test negative on another PCR?

I only ask as we're due to go away in 40 days and we cannot go unless we have a negative PCR!

You cannot get a NHS PCR test for 90 days, but you can do LF tests to see if they still show positive in the meantime. You could order private PCR tests before the actual ones needed for travel beforehand.
