DD13 due to have jab tomorrow, but she has a cold

She’s due to have both the COVID vaccine and the nasal flu vaccine tomorrow at school.
LFTs are negative. She had a day off today (and most of the past Friday) but is ok in herself, bar a chesty cough. Eating normally etc.

Can she still have the jabs tomorrow?

Has she done a pcr? With those symptoms she needs to isolate until pcr results received.

As PP said, your DD has a cough so she needs to isolate and get a PCR test, so she'll have to miss her vaccinations for that reason. LFTs are for asymptomatic testing only.

Slightly different scenario. Dd 6 had a cold/cough at the weekend, pcr negative. She was still a little snotty yesterday but went school as cough was gone - she still had the flu spray. Couldn't say for the covid jab though.

I wouldn't rely on an lft test either! Many people have tested negative on a lft when in fact it was covid confirmed through pcr.

Thanks all, dd had PCR today and so will wait for the results - fingers crossed
