I had two Astra Zenica jabs previously, but have just had a Pfizer booster. Just a sore arm with AZ, but now have terrible bodily aches and pains. They gave me the flu jab at the same time.

Hope you feel better soon Flowers

Have you had a flu jab before?
Most people I know had fewer side effects with Pfizer than AZ vaccines.

Cookerhood · 15/11/2021 14:55

In studies a mixture of the vaccines produced more side effects do I guess it's not surprising that in some people the boosters are.
What advice did they give you? We tell people that any side effects should last 24-48 hours, to take paracetamol, fluids & rest up. If you are concerned or it's severe or goes on for longer than 3 or 4 days call 111.

I had Pfizer booster Friday afternoon and was aching all over by 11am Saturday.
2 paracetamol and a nap and I was fine in a few hours

I felt like absolute death with my first Pfizer after novavax (trial participant) had vomiting, sweats, chills, fever, pains, body aches etc....... I dont think Pfizer mixes well with other jabs. We had a week off work and didn't get out of bed for 4 days.

I dont know if I will be going for my 2nd jab in 8 weeks as I can't be that ill again. Also can't have another week off work.

Hope you feel better soon.

I was the same. It passed after 48 hours. Now I have flu antibodies and boosted protection against Covid. I’m delighted.

Felt totally fine after my first Pfizer, slight aches with the second. Felt absolutely horrendous with the flu one though (had at a different time to Pfizer) so it could be the flu one giving you the pain

I'm starting to feel a bit better now. Been taking Paracetamol and just taking it easy. Could hardly move this morning 😬

I've had pfizer all 3 times, I felt like death after the 2nd and 3rd dose. I think it's common to be honest.
