DH positive on Tuesday, is feeling pretty awful ๐Ÿ˜ž. I did a PCR yesterday and am negative, feeling ok. But itโ€™s only realistically 3 days. I am very nervous about going to work next week and unintentionally passing it on to vulnerable colleagues.

Five days from his first symptom to mine.

Be very careful as my friend didn't catch it from her DH until he'd come out of his ten day isolation! She hadn't been anywhere else, and he had isolated from the rest of the household for ten days.

Chippymunks · 12/11/2021 12:03

About 4 days.

Sparkletree · 12/11/2021 12:04

I tested positive on day 5.

Winniemarysarah · 12/11/2021 12:04

I think it was about 4 days. To me at the time it was a case of โ€˜letโ€™s just catch it and get it over withโ€™ so he didnโ€™t bother hiding away from us, us and our 3 kids had it all at the same time around 14 months ago. None of us have had it since as far as Iโ€™m aware

RuthW · 12/11/2021 12:07

10 days for my work colleague

TheRealMrsMorningstar · 12/11/2021 12:07

I didn't catch it from dh at all, dd1 showed symptoms just as we were all about to leave isolation! ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ so 10 days!

blissfulllife · 12/11/2021 12:09

4 days

I gave covid to my DH - poor thing!
His symptoms started 5 days after mine

zobalina77 · 12/11/2021 21:38

It was 5 days from my husband testing positive to me testing positive, then 6 days later ds got it too.

justbananas42 · 12/11/2021 22:19

I started showing symptoms on the Wednesday and my husbandโ€™s symptoms began 5 days later on the Monday.

Iโ€™m double jabbed with Pfizer and heโ€™s double jabbed with AZ. Heโ€™s had it a lot worse than I have.

jenkel · 12/11/2021 22:45

I tested positive on Tuesday, dh tested positive on Sunday. Negative lf up to then, positive one Sunday and managed to get a pcr on Sunday, did feel like he was getting a cold on the Friday, he had it a lot less than me. I am now in day 11 and we are both over the worse, just head aches, tiredness and loss of smell for me and smell and taste for dh.

HelloTreeWindow · 12/11/2021 22:47

My friend also at 14 days. She hadnโ€™t left the house or anyone in as it was the weekend after his 10 days ended and he was still feeling ill/the country was in lockdown
Hopeislost · 12/11/2021 22:48

5 days between DH testing positive and me testing positive (and I tested every day).

Warhertisuff · 12/11/2021 22:50

@SinisterBumFacedCat

If DH has had a negative LFT, it's probably not Covid... other colds and viruses haven't disappeared! To be more confident, he could do a second test.
Lindy2 · 12/11/2021 22:50

I tested positive 5 days after DH.

When he got his positive result I did a test the next day which was negative. I tested again a few days later and got a positive. By then I had developed a very sore throat and had muscle aches.

I hope you manage to avoid it. If you're double jabbed you have a good chance of not catching it. We had it in January before we were able to be vaccinated.

ThisMustBeMyDream · 12/11/2021 22:51

We got it this time last year. Dp tested pos on 4th Nov. We came out of isolation on 19th. I'd done several PCR's from the 6th onwards, all negative. As I'm in the NHS, our lateral flow tests arrived on 24th Nov and I did one straight away. I nearly fell off my chair when mine was positive. The PCR the next day was positive to confirm. That day my sense of smell went, and that was my only ever symptom. It is highly unlikely that I got it from anywhere else, as although we were out of isolation, we were all in lockdown and not going anywhere.

Sorry, ignore my last post...I read it without referring to original OP.
