Do I need a COVID test returning to UK from abroad?

I think I’ve screwed up here. I booked a short trip to Germany. I checked the entry requirements and all I need is to be double vaccinated, all good. I stupidly didn’t check the requirements on returning to the UK before now. Am I right that, wherever I’m travelling from, I’ll have to pay for a LFT on return to the UK? I know it’s only £22 but that’s double the cost of my return flight and I wouldn’t have booked if I’d known

Yes you do need to book a test in advance and put the info on the passenger locator form
