Able to book booster even though not yet 50 nor vulnerable?

Saw a post on her re booking boosters after 5 months for after 6 months, and a post on our local Facebook from the GP.

Went into the national booking site and I able to book a booster for mid December, which will be 6 months from my 2nd jab on 3 June.

But I'm not yet 50 (next May) and not vulnerable.

Am I likely to get turned away if I book and go for it, as I don't appear to meet the criteria?

Following as I'm not 50 until May, nor am I vulnerable either and I just presumed I wouldn't be able to book.

I wasn't able to book when I checked last week (interested in doing so as am in the ONS survey and my last bloods were negative for antibodies), but now it is offering me appointments.

Totally bizarrely, having gone back on to book it now says I'm not eligible! Feel like I just dreamt the last 15 mins 🤨

I'm following too. Interested to see what the replies are.

I tried to book mine as it's been over 6m since I had my second, but it says I'm not eligible and unable to book. I'm under 50, and not in a healthcare role, I'm also not vulnerable except for asthma which isn't on the conditions list anymore I don't think.

Just google covid vaccination.

But as my later post says it now says I'm not eligible, so my original question is now moot.

I am 50 in a few weeks but can’t book. I think it’s because it’s not quite 5 months from my last one

walksen · 09/11/2021 19:09

I tried this morning because it is exactly 6 months since my 2nd jab and was told I wasn't eligible
I am 40's and previously in group 6 but since hospitalisation was more than 2 years ago am no longer eligible apparently. I double checked about 20 minutes ago and the website offered bookings a while ago but has now changed back to ineligible.

I'm assuming it is an IT glitch

Agreed.
At least I won't book and turn up only to be turned away 😆

When they announced at the end of last week that bookings were opening yesterday, I went on straight away and managed to book. I am over 50, but apparently could do so before bookings opened!

I have the confirmation email and everything... hopefully it should be okay.

StiggyZardust · 09/11/2021 19:16

My DH managed to book an appointment. He's 6 months from his 2nd dose and 50 next April. All very odd

CrimeJunkie01 · 09/11/2021 20:41

My 21 year old son without medical conditions got a letter yesterday asking him to book his booster. He got an early vaccine as he works by the vaccination Centre and they had some spare one day so is now 6 months past his second vaccine.
