It's 6 months since my last vaccine and I'm unable to book online. Are group 6 asthmatics still eligible for the booster?

I am in group 6 because of mental health and I was able to book booster.

The system only let me in this am (group 6, autoimmune blood condition).

I was group 6 last time around and have my booster on Monday. I live in an area where take up is very low generally though so that might affect things?

Under 50 and asthmatic 6 months since 2nd vac NHS booking system tells me I'm not eligible. Its easier to get through to the Queen than it is my GP or 119 to query it

I read somewhere they have been removed from the green book guidance unless they take certain steroids.

I got mine this week, about two weeks after the 6 months after my second jab

Same position, tried to book online at 6 months and 1 week counted in days, and got the ineligible message. Gave up, and waited a week. Then got a text message saying I could book (on date of second jab, plus six months eg 25 April to 25 October, plus 8 days), and I could!

I'm in the same boat, a few years under 50. Group 6 asthmatic unable to book booster. 6 months since 2nd jab is Nov 9th

Really stressing about this. I'm on Spiriva, Revlar Ellipta and have taken three course of pred this year. I also work in an office in where our manger has decided not to inform us if a colleague tests positive.

Same position here, also in group 6 for other reasons too. Still unable to book - and forget under 50, I'm under 40.

I've just booked mine. My gp flagged me as group 6 after I very narrowly missed it but now I meet the poorly controled asthma. I'm under 40.

You should qualify. You may need to check the GP has coded you correctly?

My dd can book, group 6 autism and mental health issues, on meds, she's 22. I can book under 50, no health issues. I think it might be down to how your drs has flagged you on the national register

I'm 48, asthmatic but also high BMI so qualify on several levels.

I’m 44 but group 4 due to pretty extreme asthma. I had my booster 12 days ago, which was 4 days after my six months.

I'm under 50 and was over 6 months when they announced the booster. I got the text message the week they started sending them out.

IIRC 2 courses of pred in 24 months is what they are defining as uncontrolled so 3 this year should qualify you.

Tried again this morning in the hope I'll be able to book because it's Monday. Still nothing.

I received an appt in the post last week. I’m in group 6 due to my asthma. I’m also in Wales, which seems to be more organised somehow!

@HighgateFun if you were coded as group 6 for the first round of vaccines you should be in the system and be called at 6 months plus a week from your second jab. The system is in the process of being changed so that you can book in advance ie not have the vaccine earlier but book in advance. That should be starting this week. The only thing your GP's surgery can do is check that you are correctly coded so if you are not able to access system contact an administrator at the surgery, econsult should be ok, to verify. The link somebody posted from the British thoracic society up thread said that not all group 6 asthmatics would be eligible I think.

But the OP should be, so it’s possible that her gp has misclassified her.

I am under 50 and was in group six for my asthma. I have been able to book a booster but looking at other social media it appears that many are still unable to book. I am not yet past six months.
