Have your elderly housebound relatives had their booster yet?

MIL who is housebound and in her nineties, has not yet been offered a booster. Just wondering what others' experiences have been. As I understand it, using Pfizer for home visits is problematic because there's a limit on the number of times the vaccine can be moved. MIL had AZ for her first two jabs, but my understanding is that the plan is to use Pfizer or Moderna for the boosters, so not sure what the plan is re people who are housebound.

In my local area a special team from.the community will be going out to administer boosters to house bound patients. There are issues with having to keep vaccines cold and the 15 minute supervision post vaccine. They are due to start in nov/dec.

This update might be useful, @Languagethoughts. It mentions housebound people.

My MiL is housebound and got a Pfizer booster and flu jab 8 days ago. I know she was high priority though as shes CEV and due to go into hospital in the next few weeks.

In my area they seem to be finding giving the booster problematic to those who can't attend the surgery. I believe it's because of the storage parameters and after jab care. They've asked that those who can do attend a clinic and those that can't double check with the surgery that they are on the system as housebound.
