6 months post vaccine - booster? Waiving immunity?

I am now officially 6 months post vaccine. I’m 42 but was lucky enough to have it early being a teacher and local hubs at the time were ringing schools and offering spares.

Does anyone know if I will be offered a booster and if so when? For the last six months I’ve felt at ease in school but now I’m very much starting to feel anxious again, especially as the isolation rules have changed.

If it's been 6 months since your second one, you can try to book online for your booster.

You need to be age 50+ or age 16+ with an underlying health condition to get a booster just now

That was my worry.

Yes, it will just tell you whether you can or not 👍🏼

There are walk in centres where you can turn up to get a booster if it is 6 months since your vaccine. You just need to take your card with you to prove the dates.

Teachers in SEN schools are getting boosters, so I think you should be offered it too. Although I understand the difference.
I am aware of a (GP run) hub doing the second dose for 12-15’s so it might be worth asking at the hub rather than booking online.

Thanks all.

A lot of our original vaccine hubs have now closed so I guess I’ll need to do a bit of ringing round. I don’t just want to travel somewhere to be turned away.

Here’s hoping!
