Starting a new one for us Welshies. So after the new measures brought in last Friday is anyone else anticipating Drakeford bringing in further restrictions at the next 3 week review?

I really hope I’m wrong but when you consider that in Wales we never ditched masks or WFH and our rates were the highest out of all UK nations it makes you wonder what other cards they can possibly play next.

We’ve always been a bit behind the other nations - when they were climbing, we had low numbers. Hopefully we will start to come down soon.

I do think that they will bring in some more restrictions. What exactly, I don’t know. There is no furlough money. School closures will be massively unpopular with everyone apart from teachers.

I’ve not been looking at the stats any more. What are our hospitalisation and death rates like now?

This is going to be a tough winter.

If the rumours about an impending lockdown is true, does this mean the vaccines aren’t as good as they are saying? Will we have to live with some sort of restriction every winter until better therapies come?

It's always a good idea to look at the stats then you question the likes of Sky News who tell us cases are soaring and JVT is telling us we need restrictions to save Christmas.

When actually cases are dropping, and JVT was quite positive this morning morning (if a little overinvested in his own metaphors). Of course this will take time to feed through to hospitalisations and deaths.

I work for a large company in an office of around 60 people. We have all been told WFH is no longer and we are to come into the office. All social distancing signs and floor tapes have been removed and the only rule is that you wear a mask if you are walking around.
Kitchen and toilets all being shared. There been a few cases of covid here and there amongst staff.
Our managers have chosen to completely ignore the Welsh WFH advice
