Record of Booster in NHS App

I’m trying to find out whether I need to chase this up... I had my booster dose 4 weeks ago and there is nothing at all in my records to say I have had it, I know that it doesn’t show on the NHS Covid pass, however I thought it would show in the “View Covid 19 Records” section of the NHS App and so wondered if it does for others?

I’m concerned about it not making it to my records because I think at some point they may need to add these doses on to the pass. Some countries, including one I’m intending to visit, already state your last vaccine dose must have been within 12 months. I need to know whether I should chase this potentially missing record up, or whether to reorganise my travel plans for before March when my 12 months runs out.

I found mine under GP services, then Immunisations, but that won't be enough to travel to some countries.

Exactly. I feel like the poster who said “when you need it, they’ll add it” must be unfailingly optimistic. Some people will need that information for travel to some countries within the next few months. If they are going to make it available that soon, why isn’t it available now? Records under vaccination, consultations etc (none of which I have access to, and won’t be troubling my GP Practice to get access to) won’t suffice, and neither will the appointment record card.

I feel a bit like we made such a great start to to the vaccination programme in this country and now the powers that be have just... given up.

(I know travel is not the most important thing in the scheme of things. But it’s not unimportant either, when you consider the value of the travel industry and of some business travel.)

well you do need it to travel to israel, austria and switzerland now but apparently no plans to include it at the mo. so what with fingerprinting for eu from 2022 a lot of us will be staycationing for the foreseeable future

That's not a digital certificate, useless for travel

3rd doses will show on Covid vaccination record but not boosters which are in the GP section of NHS app (if you have access to health records enabled). Apparently the Covid pass barcode expiry date automatically updates when you open it.

A third primary dose is for a different purpose to the booster (not sure it makes any difference to the app etc). Currently the vaccine recording system can't distinguish between the two so I can't see how it would be recorded in a different part of the GP record.

No. Some people are having a third primary dose and others are having the booster. For Pfizer it’s the same dose, for Moderna the booster is a half-volume dose.

Different things Mine is a third dose, not a booster as I will also get a 4th which is a booster

wasn't aware that 3rd primaries was a thing so apologies. tho guessing, like boosters, they'll also not show in the covid pass.
