Covid pass- How long did NHS app take to verify identity?

I’m supposed going abroad in a few days time. I downloaded the NHS app to get the covid pass but it said I needed to verify my identity and it would take up to 7 days. I don’t have 7 days! Is there any chance of this happening sooner?

Mine too a day or so I think.

72WayTooCool · 31/10/2021 18:04

Took, not too!

TheFallenMadonna · 31/10/2021 18:08

This is what I did but as it’s Sunday maybe it’ll take longer

Crack on with it - it took no more than 24 hours for me but stop fannying on and do it straight away

DappledThings · 31/10/2021 18:13

Less than 10 minutes

I was secretly hoping there would be some deliberation because I look like an axe murderer in my passport photo. But apparently not Haloween Sad

I’ve done it, did it an hour ago when I first realised.

About 3 days, this was back in June, I posted on a thread about it and most took less time than mine

RedRiverShore · 31/10/2021 18:14

Mine was done on Sunday

Once it’s verified can you get the travel pass straight away?

A couple of hours, on a saturday. I don't even need to, but I did it as a test run so I could talk DM doing hers.

The funny part was, when she went to do hers she didn't even need to verify herself!

RedRiverShore · 31/10/2021 18:55

I got an email that appeared to come from my doctors surgery saying I could now access my online account through the app, I guess they wouldn't be sorting that on a Sunday and why it took longer.

Overthebow · 01/11/2021 03:29

Well it has already come through. Very impressed!

Has anyone tried to get verification recently so they could get covid pass? I’m wondering how long it’s taking now seeing as it’s holiday season.

Watapalava · 02/08/2022 22:25

It’s normally hour or so but it says online it’s longer as they versify 9-5pm so if outside these hours it’ll take bit longer

that’s providing the centre upload your docs right

the vax site kept making mistakes with dh results and it took 3 weeks for the vax record to show

don’t leave it too late to sort

BeyondPurpleTulips · 03/08/2022 15:15

For DW, it took about three hours.

For me, I was refused and came to the realisation that despite being in the double-boosted population, my covid pass is invalid for travel! (I have married and not changed my passport yet as I'm due a new one next year anyway. So my NHS name and passport name don't match. And I travel in two bloody days, so no time to change my name back to my old one on NHS records! So I now have a PCR booked, just in case my marriage cert isn't good enough proof - as no one can tell me 100% whether it would be accepted or not - that Beyond Oldname and Beyond Newname are the same person 🙄 yes, it was entirely predictable if I'd sat and thought about it, but I just thought "yeah I'm boosted, no need to panic about a covid pass" until today when I logged on to print it!)
