Confused, had a call from test and trace but no PCR result yet

Had a call from test and trace asking for our close contacts due to our positive PCR results.

Only thing is we only posted our PCR results back the day before the call and haven’t received them yet but test and trace seem to think we’ve had a positive result.

Anyone else had this happen? Obviously we are isolating anyway until we get our results but I’m just curious whether it’s likely they’ve got our results before we have!

I did get someone else’s result by text.

They had our names though.

I know I can just wait for our results but I was curious if anyone had had the same. I didn’t realise test and trace was still calling to be honest!

Yes, if test and trace have the correct details to have contacted you then I don’t see how your results could have gone to anyone else.

Yes I imagine we will get a text or something with a positive result some time today
