Face mask supplies

I've been to 3 Boots stores and 2 Superdrugs today trying to get hold of disposable face masks for my kids for school (mask mandate). Managed to track some down in Wilkos but not sure of quality tbh.

Has anyone else had any issues? It's not like most people are even bothering with masks these days round here !

Yes I wash the disposable a couple of times

Ours go through the wash in someone's pocket quite often. I wouldn't know to look at them whether the fibres have been weakened or whatever, how can you know they still are effective as a barrier?

There was research done iirc in Italy during the first wave, results showed they held good for ten washes.
