Anyone had a bad reaction to booster?

I'm due my booster but am worried because I know at least 4 people (personally) who were really Ill after the booster.

I've had covid and wasn't too poorly with it. Losing my sense of smell was the worst symptom.

Has anyone else been ill? I'm starting to dread the booster now.

@winterisaroundthecorner

If you have to have it for work, why are you even questioning it? You do realise losing a sense of smell is to do with brain damage, right? Would you really want to risk it if you can avoid it? Like I said, being able to have a booster is a privilege.
I don't need the job. I only do it because it's rewarding.

Cheers for being so understanding. Was AIBU a bit too dull?

Nothing much to report after booster - mildly sore arm.
Hope yours is a complete non-event too!

picketingpanic · 31/10/2021 17:55

My arm hurt loads more with the booster but no other symptoms

EmmaGrundyForPM · 31/10/2021 17:56

AZ for first two then Pfizer for booster 6 days ago.

My arm ached for a couple of days, and I have a weird swelling in my left armpit which apparently is a glandular reaction, but it doesn't hurt and is slowly going down. Otherwise I'm fine.

Sprostongreen21 · 31/10/2021 17:59

I had my flu and Pfizer booster. Both at same time was fine. I’ve never had covid.

Juniper68 · 31/10/2021 17:59

Cheers I'll book it soon.

I don't get you, at all, tbh. I don't post much in AIBU.

No issues at all

tapdancingmum · 31/10/2021 18:05

Had mine Friday. It bloody hurt going in but apart from a sore arm for yesterday it was fine. Woke up a bit bunged up yesterday but that soon wore off. Good luck op 🙂

Lily999888 · 31/10/2021 18:26

Had AZ for first two and Pfizer for booster last Thursday and apart from a sore arm all fine!

GobletofFiyah · 31/10/2021 18:43

I had a temperature (39.8), a really sore arm, a really sore armpit and was tired but thats it

Run4it2 · 31/10/2021 18:52

I had mine on friday morning. By the evening I was wiped and had a sore arm. I then had 24 hours of full in covid symptoms - by mid morning today I was ok again. It was miserable, but much shorter lived then real covid (which I've also had previously). This was my third Pfizer

DaisyandSimeon · 31/10/2021 19:12

Pfizer on friday and my arm and neck still kills. other than that no ill effects.

I only got the lymph node swelling in my armpit after my 3rd Pfizer dose. It appeared the next day and it's still annoyingly tender and visibly swollen 3 days on. Inconvenient, but still worth it.

Had my booster on Fiday, bot of a sore arm and neck, but so tired ..3 days later could sleep for England. Still grateful to have had it though.

JANEG70 · 01/11/2021 08:31

I had PZ booster and flu jab on the same day 3 weeks ago. 2 AZ originally. No effects apart from a slight sore arm. DH had just had Covid, now on day 9, and so far I haven't got it. I'd like to think that it's done it's job.

You sound the same as me. I found covid scary tbh. Weird skin sensations too.

Jab Saturday - felt grotty yesterday and had temp - still feel a bit wiped out today. Sore arm has subsided.

Toddlerteaplease · 01/11/2021 09:59

I had issues with the second but not the third.

GurkeyTurkey · 01/11/2021 10:06

I had AZ for my first two and felt quite rough and fluey afterwards, I had the Pfizer booster last week and was fine apart from some tiredness and a sore arm. They said when I went for it that there's usually less side effects with the booster.
