NHS Covid Pass - can you use a printed/ saved version which is older than the newest version which has refreshed on phone?

If that makes sense.

I won’t have data and will need to show my online NHS Pass. I printed out a version which expires in a month but a few minutes later the pass refreshed while I was still on the page.

Does anyone know if the slightly older version will still work as long as it’s within the expiry date or will I have to show the very latest version?

Thanks.

Yes you can use it until it expires. I printed one out when I went to Italy earlier this month as it was easier at the airport and then I tended to use it when I was out and about as it was quicker than opening it on my phone. Interestingly in Italy my son's NHS pass wasn't accepted when he showed it 'live' in the app but only when he showed the PDF he had saved. Which is odd as it's the same barcode.

That’s great - thanks!

That is odd. Mine flickers a bit when it’s ‘live’, maybe that could affect it.
