Anyone managed to avoid getting Covid if their child under 3 is positive?

I thought it would be a given that I would catch it but apparently not. Interested to hear others experiences.

I do have a variety of symptoms but none of the 'big 4'. Apart from being grizzly my LO doesn't have symptoms.

Yes, we both avoided it despite DD sneezing in my face when she would have been contagious and DH caring for her for her 10 day isolation period. He tried to wear a mask a bit but was literally bed sharing with her. I also know someone else who was minding their toddler and escaped unscathed.

It all seems v random

My SiL, her DH and 2yr old were positive, she was pregnant and didn’t catch it

@nurserypolitics thank you for sharing this. Initially I really tried to be strict and kept wiping things down etc but I've relaxed a bit now as it got very exhausting. We've still had the windows wide open and wearing mask where possible. I've had 2 vaccines and booster

My 3 year old had it and no adults or unvaxxed kids caught it. We weren’t remotely careful because DC is so clingy I knew I couldn’t keep away. Only rule we kept was not sharing drinks while they had it! Does make me wonder if other DC had it asymptomatically at an earlier date though.

DS 2 had it in July and DD 6 had it a month ago…. Neither DH nor I got it either time. We didn’t isolate from either of them at all and they both wanted lots of extra cuddles etc.

Incidentally neither child caught it off the other either.

It seems so random

So my second pcr has come back negative and I'm feeling better. It feels like it was maybe brewing but perhaps since I've had the booster it has stopped in its tracks.

We are self isolating anyway as my dc are very young. And will keep up the daily LFT's until their isolation ends, unless ofcourse we develop symptoms.

I must say I'm very suprised though. I really thought I would catch it given how close contact we have been
