Isolation record on Covid App following positive lateral flow

I’ve had 2 negative pcr’s but a positive lateral flow for 4 days. I’ve recorded this on the gov website which told me to record on the NHS app which I’ve just done. This is now flashing a red circle at me & telling me to isolate until 7th Nov. Is this official like the PCR notification? Or would it only become official if/when I get a positive pcr? I have ordered a home pcr test. Wondering if I should use this notification on the app for work purposes?

Literally the same as me, even the dates of the isolation!! Still waiting on 3rd PCR result. Had 6 positive lateral flows. I have got symptoms so I don't know what to do if my next test is negative. I'm due in work on Thursday.

Oh no poor you. It’s just so confusing isn’t it. I have felt a bit unwell but not with any of the typical covid symptoms. It was actually starting to drive me a bit crazy so I haven’t done any more lateral flows & whatever my next pcr home test result says I’m going with. Was starting to feel like a bit of a freak & my dh & dm didn’t seem to believe i had it as they say the pcr trumps the lateral flow. Doesn’t explain it though does it. I’m sick of the whole thing; ruined half term, unhappy kids, me exhausted from looking after the 2 covid positives in the house & other dc & dog & everything else. I just want to be able to see my Dad who is in a care home and this inconsistent testing has messed that up aswell.
Let me know what your pcr is and what you decide to do - what have your work said?

Place marking as I also had Covid (DH positive, I had worse symptoms positive LFTs but 2xneg PCRs so I gave up). Would like to know if there is anyway of recording this or would only positive PCR count? I have thought about getting an antibody test as apparently this can distinguish between infection antibodies and vaccine but don't really want to pay
