Under 16 how to prove COVID status?

My son age 13 was vaccinated in September.

He's caught COVID this week so I have the email to my email address showing the PCR result.

He's due to go to France skiing in a few weeks (not with me) and doesn't have to do PCRs there if he can show proof of a positive Covid test recently.

But how does he do that? I asked the dr and they said to download the NHS covid app and it will be on there. But under 16s aren't allowed to download it.

So how does he show the authorities in France that he has recently had COVID? The result was emailed to my phone. I could forward it to his phone but will that be enough? Surely anyone could do that and just change the wording if they wanted to?

I don't know officially but had the same issue recently and all I could do was to keep the proof of his positive test to hand. It has their date of birth on it and their full name so I assumed comparing that to their id would be enough. As it was I didn't end up needing to do it but that was the plan. There's a dearth of info on this scenario anywhere I looked!

I’ve tried to find out the same. Called 119 vaccine passport and they told me to call back to speak to t&t, did that… they said speak to vaccine passport people!
Somehow you should be able to get a recovery certificate but no one seems to have heard of it.
I guess it’s just about keeping the positive test result and 🤞.
I’ve also managed to delete the email with my dd’s positive result so trying to get that record too.
They couldn’t make it harder. I’m going to try the GP next. Will post if any joy.

Thank you. I've googled and there doesn't seem to be any way for under 16s which is rubbish - if you're a family who all had Covid and you want to go to France, the parents can have a NhS app which proves it but the children can't! And would therefore have to do PCR tests regardless. Absolutely crap.
