If you've tested positive and filled the form in they still call you within 48 hours anyway to confirm information so just tell them your mistake then .

Tr3hern3 · 26/10/2021 11:45

Does your place of work need the official date or can I just tell them the correct one?
I felt nauseous and dizzy 3/4 days before the aching, cough and headache started. I put the dizzy date. Don’t think I’ll be well before the incorrect date. 😩

You can log back in. I had put the wrong contact details for one of my close contacts and was able to go back in and change it. I followed the original link and it prompted me to log in. Whether you can change the date your symptoms started I'm not sure but worth a try. When test and trace call you, which they will many times, you can discuss it with them and they can work out if your dates need changing. 119 might also be able to help if test and trace don't call soon.

Tr3hern3 · 26/10/2021 12:01

You can’t change details re symptoms starting.I felt so shut this morning wasn’t really thinking. There were loads of questions.

I had a nightmare with this and DS. The people who call you from T and T have no authority to change dates. they will tell you a supervisor will call you back. They won't...

119 cannot do this either.

Tr3hern3 · 26/10/2021 12:07

So do I notify school of the date for return or do they? If so it won’t be a problem. I’ll just work on the correct date.

Oh no. How annoying. I suppose it's so people don't change it to get out of isolation early etc.

Littlemiss74 · 26/10/2021 12:08

@Tr3hern3 sorry I don’t know the answer but I also have had awful nausea for 2 days and wondered when you got your positive result, was it right at the start or a few days in? Did you get positive lateral flow & pcr? So far I’ve had negative pcr and 2 positive lateral flows on the following days. My ds & dh both have it. Hope you feel better soon.

Piggywaspushed · 26/10/2021 12:09

Are you a teacher OP?

Tr3hern3 · 26/10/2021 12:10

I had nausea and dizziness on the Thursday, a bit on the Saturday, Sunday night I started feeling like shit with the correct symptoms. Monday morning I felt really shit did 2 LFT. First 1 faint, the next bold, both positive. PCR at 11 which turned out positive.

I think just email whoever at school and tell them you aren't well enough. People don't tend to assume a magic wand is waved after 10 days and you are all better.

T and T won't contact them about you at all.

Piggywaspushed · 26/10/2021 12:17

Nausea and dizziness are v common symptoms. I do wish PHE would update!!

Piggywaspushed · 26/10/2021 12:18

The dizzy date dos sound the correct date in terms of when you were first ill.

Tr3hern3 · 26/10/2021 12:22

Ah ok.

When I worked for t & t the end of isolation was only calculated from the onset of fever, cough, loss of taste etc. Any others like headache or dizziness were added into 'other symptoms' and not used. You might be able to contact t & t if its run by your local authority. It is in Wales, I don't know about anywhere else.

Tr3hern3 · 26/10/2021 12:40

They haven’t ring yet which is odd as my dd is in hospital and I’ve been on the ward every day until I got the test results. Put all of it into T&T.

I tested positive last Wednesday and got one phone call a few days later. They simply checked I was isolating. I've had 2 further text messages and that's it.

I was just asked what day I believed symptoms began! I didn't have to specify which. Loss of taste of senses comes about 7 days into the illness!

If you filed in the form online there is a chance they might not contact you at all.
