I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant and have confirmed covid- positive LFT and PCR. I'm only on around day 2/3 but symptoms are very mild. My main concern is that the worst is to come.
Has anybody else who is unvaccinated had covid early in their 3rd trimester and only had mild symptoms.
For what it's worth my vaccine was booked in for next week which I know I'll have to postpone.

How are you feeling today? I have no experience of your situation but I am also 3rd tri and am not vaccinated yet. Thanks

Mex100 · 27/10/2021 13:15

I'm still feeling ok, no taste or smell and a little under the weather nothing major. I'm just praying it stays that way, I don't want to convince myself I'm out of the woods just yet.

I'm sure you will be fine, rest up!

pinkpineapple86 · 27/10/2021 14:22

Glad to hear you're still feeling as well as can be expected. Take care of yourself :)

Keep a close eye on baby's movements and if they change or lessen at all, please call the maternity unit for monitoring.

Mex100 · 28/10/2021 08:30

@whymewhyme yes I'm sure I will be thank you.

@pinkpineapple86 thank you.

@HeyFloof that's something I've been extra conscious of and my midwife has also said to call if I need to, I'll still be seen.

@Mex100

Hey - I'm in a similar position 29 weeks and waiting on my PCR result. Had ultra faint LFT but wanted to be on the safe side and get a PCR.

How are you? How did you find Covid as unvaccinated pregnant woman?

I sincerely hope you are on the mend Thanks

Mex100 · 07/11/2021 18:25

Hi @tinaturnip1

It's been 13 days since my positive LFT and a positive PCR followed. I'd consider myself lucky in terms of symptoms.
I lost my taste and smell from day 1 which still hasn't returned.
I got a cough around day 5ish which I've still got. My breathing and oxygen levels have always been good.
I've still got cold like symptoms like a blocked nose and sore throat which I've had all the way through.
There were only a few days when my temperature was slightly raised but came down with paracetamol.
There were days when I was extremely tired and barely got out of bed. I did try to keep moving around the house just to keep my blood moving.
I did inform my midwife, but my trust aren't doing anything extra other than getting you to call triage if you have any concerns. Although after speaking to another midwife on here they have said their trust are monitoring women more so it's def worth giving your midwife a call if you test positive.
Fingers crossed for you.

I am glad your symptoms were not too severe and you're on the mend. I'm sure it wasn't nice being so poorly when pregnant but hopefully you've gained some immunity from it.

My result was negative in the end but I feel reassured by your reply nonetheless.

Thanks for your reply again
