'Idiot' anti-vaxxers could be banned from school gates following injuries to children

Sajid Javid suggests that setting up exclusion zones around school gates that would stop 'idiot' anti-vaxxers harassing school staff and children could be an option at a local level after 3 children were injured by fuckwitted protesters.

Why are they dragging their heels over measures to keep children safe? This should have been in place weeks ago, and now children have been hurt.

Fully agree. Ridiculous people.

leafyygreens · 25/10/2021 12:44

I find it incredible these people want to take the choice away from others.

Their whole agenda seems to be that they don't want the government et al telling them what to do with their bodies.

Jojoanna · 25/10/2021 13:15

Agreed stupid people

frozendaisy · 25/10/2021 13:21

They should be hauled in front of a judge for injuring a child first of all. Regardless the reason.

Then deal with the idiocy.

LyricalBlowToTheJaw · 25/10/2021 14:35

I don't know what the fuck they're playing at.

noblegiraffe · 25/10/2021 14:55

They’re clearly not that concerned about the safety of children if they’re harassing kids and actually injuring them.

It doesn’t seem to be about vaccinating kids at all, rather about being obnoxious and intimidating, and using vaccines as an excuse.

They should be photographed and their faces and names displayed online. It would be a a useful reference point to enable people to avoid associating with them now or at some point in the future. Anyone who sees it OK to harass school staff and children outside our schools is beyond reasoning with. I bet there's some who are the same dimwits who were protesting outside our hospitals denying there was a pandemic and filming empty corridors.

Yeah I don’t get it either

What i do with my body and what my children do with theirs is fuck all to do with them

Geamhradh · 26/10/2021 06:48

It's ironic isn't it?
They don't want medical experts advising them what they should be doing to protect their own children, but feel they have the right to stand outside schools and intimidate other people's.

Topseyt · 26/10/2021 10:41

Anti-vaxxers should be banned full stop. From anywhere.

It is no longer about their protest (which I think is foolish anyway), it is about being intimidating to others.

noblegiraffe · 26/10/2021 12:15

This is terrible: www.theguardian.com/society/2021/oct/26/liverpool-headteachers-describe-sinister-tactics-of-anti-vaxx-protesters

"The numbers of protesters involved is hard to pin down. An investigation by the Liverpool Post found that parents appeared to be contacting a group administrator called George to arrange for a visit and for papers to be served on their school. Having visited the school, they then boast about frightening teachers and at one point say about a headteacher: “She can’t run, she can’t hide.”"

"Pupils at St Thomas More Catholic School in Blaydon, Gateshead, were distraught after anti-vaccine protesters showed them pictures of what appeared to be dead children."

"reports that a teacher was verbally abused by protesters at Beaconsfield School, one of a number of anti-vaccination protests at schools in Buckinghamshire"

"In Kent, police have been asked to lay on extra patrols after pupils were targeted by protesters."

Absolute psychopaths. I'm more convinced than ever that some people hitch onto a cause just to 'allow' them to behave like utter arseholes.

In what way do these parents think this sort of despicable action is ok. The depressing thing is how little they must value their schools and their children's education to behave this way. They've been easily led but they must still have some inherently funked up personality to actually carry it out. I wonder if the leaders of these groups get their hands dirty doing it or just rile up the easily led.
