Sorry if long, so my DS 12, tested positive last Sunday.
Hes been ok coping fine hes had cough, headaches and sniffles but doing ok.
I did a pcr mon negative.
LFTs every day sometimes twice a day, all negative this last 7 days.
Thursday eve felt strange, Friday morning woke up feeling odd, earache, tingling mouth and altered taste and tight chest. Lft negative, booked and did a PCR, came back negative.
Today I feel off again, im absolutely sick of feeling like this and no answer, could it be ive already had it last year (there is a time im possibly aware of when I may have mildly it before tests were available)
Interestingly I also felt like this and had negative pcrs when my youngest son had it at Christmas.

Its all so strange and feeling fed up. Obviously I'm glad I haven't got it and very unwell but why am I getting all the weird symptoms and negatives 😔 anyone else getting this??

You might have tested to early for it to show, maybe do another test just to rule it out.
There are different mutations of covid 19 which means you can catch it more than once x

Thanks I hope not but its just so strange I'm going to see how I am In next couple of days. DS out of isolation on weds I've had both my Jabs maybe its a reaction to being exposed to the virus but not enough viral load to show up 😏😒 I'm still staying in anyway not going anywhere until definately fully clear

Could it be anxiety?

Bluebellfae · 24/10/2021 22:29

@LalaLopsie

Could it be anxiety?
No ive always had anxiety but its never given me altered taste, tingling ears etc and flushing. Funnily enough I dont actually feel anxious im getting through it OK.

Could be peri symptoms as had them ages im 43 but again not the taste thing.
All very strange

There are many many other things in the world you catch as well as covid. Maybe you have tonsillitis starting?

ChristmasCovid · 24/10/2021 23:07

With those symptoms and a positive case in the house I would be assuming that the pcr is a false negative and get a retest.

Hope you all feel better soon

roofingexpert · 25/10/2021 19:52

I am exactly the same

TedGlenn · 25/10/2021 20:02

I wonder (since you experienced the same last time your other child had a positive PCR) whether your symptoms could be your immune system fighting the infection off. I don't know if that's a medical 'thing' or not?

Bluebellfae · 25/10/2021 20:05

thanks all
TedGlenn thats what i think, or something similar? like my body knows its been exposed to it again and its flaring up, but not enough to show on tests???

Yes, I have had similar. Had Covid and then Long Covid in early 2020, then double vaccinated with Pfizer. Strong reactions to the vaccine, both times. According to my GP my body probably overreacts to the virus proteins. I get heart palpitations and racing heart when exposed to the virus and severe fatigue but then recover very quickly now. Not an anxious person.
