Post Covid recovery - kids return to exercise

Does anyone know what's recommended re getting back to exercise post covid for kids? My DS age 12 officially finishes isolation tomorrow and is due to go into a six hour football club Monday and Tuesday. He's desperate to do it. He's usually extremely active but obviously hasn't exercised for the last 10 days. He had mild/moderate covid, cold/sore throat/headache/fatigue/slight temp and cough etc but he has seemed like he's back to his old self for about the last three days. Has anyone had any advice or experience of this? Thanks.

It will be extremely dependent on the child and the situation.

I can only comment re my daughter who recently had Covid, similar symptoms although still can't taste anything 3 weeks on from 10 day isolation. She finished her 10 days in the Wednesday went back to school Thursday and Friday and was totally wiped out. She did Rock climb on the Saturday for a couple of hours and played rugby for a couple of hours on the Sunday, much better but more tired than usual. Since she has gone back to full sport but more tired.

I'd have said 6 hours might be a stretch but if he can go with the provisio that he doesn't need to do the full 6 hours if he's too tired then he maybe ok.

DS wasn't really poorly with it so he went straight back to his usual activities. He swims, trampolines and rides horses.

Thanks all. He is usually very active - plays football and does lots of dancing. He just started practising football moves in the kitchen and said he had to stop as he 'felt funny'. I will have to see.
