Anyone’s teens with heart issues after having covid?

My 19yo dc was admitted to hospital for two days after having a heavy cold (negative pcr but was during the lab issues and they had a text afterward saying it might be wrong).

They had suspected heart issues but nothing was definitively diagnosed. Have been referred for further tests.

Anyone else had this? I’ve tried googling but it’s all about heart issues with the vaccine.

Studies have demonstrated that rates of myo/pericarditis are higher due to infection than they are after vaccination so it is definitely a known complication of COVID (though both are v v small changes)

I hope his tests go well, the vast majority of people make a full recovery after viral induced heart issues

Not a teen but my sister aged 38 had Covid last Christmas. She has since had myocarditis, fast heart rate & extreme ectopic beats coupled with chest pain all associated with Covid according to her private Cardiologist.

Thank you for your thoughts. I think we may need to look at some private options too for a proper assessment t
