How long for pcr test result?

How long are pcr test results taking at the moment? I'm in the south west. Did a test at 10:30 this morning.

DD had a test at 9.15 yesterday morning at a walk in centre and got her (positive 😩) results tonight around 6pm.

This is the third test we've done that have taken over 24 hours (we've only done 4 in total). I'm sick of it tbh. First I missed an unnecessary day of work, the second we missed a camping trip, now it looks like we'll miss our wedding anniversary if we don't get the results back in the next few hours. The time this all takes makes me reluctant to bother if there's a next time. I'm sure it's this kind of experience that makes people just do LFTs and not PCRs.

That should have read I unnecessarily missed a day of work. My work is necessary (key worker).

Did one two weeks ago tested 10am Saturday morning and results came through 2am. Tested again this morning and told 24 hours.

Do results come back on sundays?

Bit late for this post. But I'm in the southwest and Dd has been tested 3 times recently (all negative). Results have been back within around 12 hours.
