Helping friend with covid anxiety

My friend still has severe covid anxiety and I'm really struggling to know how to help. I met her for a walk, which is all she will do in a quiet space and she went on and on for an hour about covid cases, things she can't do, stopping her child going to parties, clubs etc. She still hasn't been any where indoors and won't even go in families homes.

I just want to get on with things now and have a normal life, safely as I can but feel like I have to be careful when I say what my kids and I have been upto.
Any advice?!

That's really tough OP. I think I'd try and make it a topic that's best avoided - and talk about things you and she both are interested in. Hard if that touches on going out but even just TV, cooking, books, music? That might remind her there is more in her life that she can share with you apart from the anxiety. If she's a very good friend I might be direct and say, do you think this is helping you? Do you feel that your "line" of things you won't do is in the right place for you? Ask very openly, and she may open up about what she would like to change. But I don't have many friends I'd do this with. She's lucky you've stuck around, hopefully she'll realise that. Flowers
