Pregnant with covid

I tested positive for covid today. I'm 22 weeks pregnant, I've had both vaccines although my last one was about 5 days ago!

What can I do to help flu like symptoms? My midwife said I can take paracetamol but no other pain relief, including creams and gels... any ideas?

My temperature is fairly normal (around 37), but I feel like my body is burning up, I have an aircon on but it doesn't feel like it's helping me 🥵

How are you feeling, OP? I don’t think there’s much you can take for fever, other than paracetamol, but I guess if you really needed to cool yourself down you could try a cold bath/shower? In my experience feeling hot actually means a falling temperature anyway. It’s chills and shivering that usually means your temp is going up. Best thing you can do for now is keep an eye on it and call triage if you think it’s worryingly high. Hopefully the vaccine will do its job and you’ll be right as rain ASAP.
