Food shop whilst waiting for results.

Dd has a cough. She had a test this morning so awaiting results. Ds is also starting to feel a bit poorly now.

I get my food shop delivered every Monday. It's coming this evening...

Usually I have a natter with the regular drivers but don't trust my kids to social distance and not be touching the crates etc.

I couldn't add that one of us was isolating on delivery notes because you can't change it on same day!

Wwyd?

Will leaving a note on the door suffice? Asking them to leave in some boxes I can put out there (will spray in dettol first). So they can just leave my food on the step. It's only a smallish shop this week!

Sounds fine to me

Will the kids not stay in the lounge while you sort out the delivery?

It sounds well hectic having to unpack the crates while your kids are buzzing around.

I hope you find a solution

It's wishful thinking as they both have sen and the door knocking hypes them up 😅 usually I get it delivered when they are at school on a Monday afternoon but tonight was the only slot plus they wouldn't have even been in school today anyway!

I assume therefore no other adults at home?

Popping a note on the door sounds like your best plan

I left a note on the door saying we were isolating and could they leave it in porch, when he rang the doorbell I waved from an upstairs window.

Thanks all - they've just been earlier then my slot. The guy left it on the step then knocked as he walked away and I opened the door to thank him from a distance! I just want to keep everyone safe! Most of the drivers for my local Tesco are older gentleman! Plus they always stand by my front door for a chat so didn't want to put them at risk! But all sorted now, thank god! Was only a small shop anyway!

Sounds hectic and hard work.

The box and note idea seems like the best plan.

Hope you get it sorted.

You seem kind and considerate BTW
