My dd was one of those who had several pos lft in sept followed by neg pcrs. She was quite unwell with covid like illness. She’s now pos again on lft. What should we do? Which is correct? Can you still test pos a month after covid?

They say you can test positive for up to 90 days after covid but not contagious. In layman's terms it's bits of dead viral cells🤷

I believe that it’s only a PCR that can detect it 90 days later. A LFT only picks up if you are infected now.

Thanks all. Just another issue to come out of the testing issues I guess- now there’ll be loads of people walking about not knowing whether they have actually had covid or not. It’s so frustrating. Wish the govt would publish which test centres were affected by the Wolverhampton lab, so we could take a more educated guess.
