So the dreaded rona has hit & i feel like death.
But very glad it isn’t worse because I’m double jabbed.

Any top tips?
Managed to send DD away to parents (also double jabbed)
And DP and I are totally separate as he’s an essential worker.

The fatigue is kicking my aaarse. Sad

I’ve not got any tips, but I hope you feel better soon Flowers

AlexaShutUp · 12/10/2021 00:02

No tips. I'm on day 6. Also double jabbed.

Felt lousy last week but much better today. No sense of smell and a lingering cough, but otherwise fine most of the day. Then the fatigue hit me like a bus mid afternoon. I was completely knocked sideways.

AlexaShutUp · 12/10/2021 00:03

Sorry, posted too soon. Meant to say that I hope you have a mild case and feel better soon!

TheGriffle · 12/10/2021 00:06

Lay on the sofa, watch Netflix or Netflix alternative, mumsnet.

I had it a couple of weeks ago and still feeling the after effects.

Feel better soon!

BlackeyedSusan · 12/10/2021 00:28

rest and breathe.

Strangevipers · 12/10/2021 00:53

Water water and more water

Burnamer · 12/10/2021 00:59

Sorry, do you live your Dd? As in she will have had contact with you after your became infectious? And you sent her to your parents?
Unless there is some kind of backstory here I’m not really sure what you want us to say. This post seems like asking for advice on getting grass stains out of clothes after you’ve fallen down the cliff and broken your leg. (Not the best analogy but I’m tired and any of the better ones I could think of seemed too mean).

LastStarfighter · 12/10/2021 01:43

@Burnamer I am guessing you are not in the U.K.? Close contacts of infected individuals do not have to isolate if they are a child, or double vaccinated.

AuditAngel · 12/10/2021 01:47

I have returned to the “plague house” today. I escaped to Greece on 1/10 leaving DH with the 3 kids. DD1 started symptoms on Saturday 2/10, DS on 4/10 and DD2tested positive but was asymptomatic.

I have returned today

Burnamer · 12/10/2021 01:59

@LastStarfighter you may not be required to according to government guidelines but why would anyone send a person they know could well be infectious to stay in their parents’ home.
I would value my parents’ health too highly to take such a risk, irrespective of what the government says.

TessTackle · 12/10/2021 09:40

Thank you Smile

My dd hadn’t been here in my potential incubation period as I’m not with her dad.
Both my parents are mid 50s, healthy fit and insisted on having her.
But thanks for kicking me when I’m down xo

Thank you everyone else for your well wishes..

Oh god the fatigue 😫

I didn’t kick you - if she hasn’t been with you then my comment doesn’t apply, hence the use of the word “if”.

Well, you did. Thanks again for your useless input. Hope it’s brightened your day more than it has mine Flowers

If it doesn’t apply, don’t worry about it. If it does apply, maybe you deserved the kick.

Either way, hope you feel better soon.

TessTackle · 12/10/2021 14:12

Maybe you should worry less about my family & worry more about why you behave like a dick on the internet?

Chocachocaholic · 12/10/2021 14:18

I came down with it on Thursday last week, confirmed with a ltf and then a positive pcr on Saturday. So I'm on day 6. Up to now thought I was going ok but today I am absolutely floored with it. I work from home and have managed to keep working but today had to take a sick day as totally wiped out! Praying feel better again tomorrow. Am double vaccinated too, caught off dd 16 x

TessTackle · 12/10/2021 14:24

Sorry to hear @Chocachocaholic
Can’t believe you’ve carried on working, my job can’t be done from home but even if it could I’d never manage.. hats off to you!

Sense of taste and smell are officially gone, which is actually really bothering me.
And god I’m lonely.

OP posts:
Chocachocaholic · 12/10/2021 14:32

@TessTackle I've had to take an hour so here or there but Thursday and Friday felt like the onset of a cold, Saturday and Sunday I didn't work so chilled, yesterday I worked most and took an extended lunch but today Jesus! Proper hit me! Lost my smell today too. Still got taste so thankful for that for now. I hope you start to feel better soon! Can't believe how mixed people seem to be with the symptoms. Some people get floored with it and others nothing. I'm just glad I caught it now after we are jabbed rather than last year when we weren't. Can only imagine how bad it could have been x

TessTackle · 12/10/2021 14:36

@Chocachocaholic mine started with a runny nose, no other symptoms. Then got hit with all the rest at once. No cough at the moment, thank goodness; quite wheezy though.

Honestly so grateful for being jabbed, and so grateful we’re where we are lockdown wise because my family would have 100% been infected by me last year!

Wishing you a speedy recovery too x

Lol OP - you literally posted for opinions. Just because you don’t like mine doesn’t make me a dick.

Leftbutcameback · 12/10/2021 15:00

Rest, water, painkillers if required, and repeat. The fatigue can last a long time (if you're unlucky) so don't overdo it on the first day you have some energy back, tempting as it is. Good luck, and hope you feel better soon Flowers

TessTackle · 12/10/2021 15:00

@Burnamer where did I ask for opinions?
I asked for top tips on getting through the virus I have. If you don’t have any tips why have you responded?

Seems like you’re reading whatever you’d like on this thread.. are you alright? Is everything okay at home? lol.

TessTackle · 12/10/2021 15:01

@Leftbutcameback thank you Flowers

Currently back in bed watching all the films I have saved on Disney+ so not all bad
