I tested positive on Thursday after taking a PCR as dc had symptoms (they tested negative though). I don’t seem to have any of the traditional symptoms and have been double jabbed.
What I do have though are the most awful stomach cramps. I’ve had food poisoning before but nothing like this, it felt as bad as labour pains on Saturday. But it’s weird, it sort of moves through my digestive system on a cycle. I get cramps really badly in my actual stomach rather than my gut. I can feel my stomach bag contracting, like I can feel the shape of it as an organ, if that makes sense. Then it moves further down into my gut and feels more like food poisoning does and I get cold sweats and terrible cramps there instead. Then I have diarrhoea for a couple of hours, have an hour or so peace and then the cycle starts again. It seems to be going in about 12 hour cycles and I’ve barely slept since Friday as the pain is stopping me get comfortable and I throw up any painkillers.
Has anyone else had these Covid symptoms? I know kids are experiencing it as vomiting and diarrhoea but I thought it was still traditional symptoms in adults, just lessened if you’d been jabbed. Could it be something else? Pretty sure it’s not food poisoning as not eaten anything unusual but I’ve lost 6lbs in 3 days and not sure how long I should leave it before calling the doctor. I’ve called the Covid advice line but they basically just reiterated the info from the NHS website and told me to log my symptoms.
