Do t and t ring everyday?

Ds positive test Thursday. Was under the impression t and t ring everyday to check you're isolating. My colleague admitted it was a bit of a pain!! Could do without the hassle as they are bound to ring when I'm looking after both kids, (Ds autistic and dd just plain demanding) whilst trying to homeschool plus another million and one things! I have not had one single call though. Is this because there are that many cases thwy physically cannot contact everyone? I'm stoke area if that makes any difference.

Never heard that before.

I initially got a text asking me who I'd been in contact with. When I didn't reply to a few I got a couple of calls, then nothing after that.

I doubt they have the time/staff etc to call everyone every day to check they're isolating

ParkheadParadise · 05/10/2021 01:30

I tested positive on Saturday. They phoned me at 8.30 am on Sunday. Gave me my date isolation ends and told me they wouldn't be calling back.

Blondie1984 · 05/10/2021 01:41

No they don’t call every day - but if they do call and you don’t answer on multiple occasions then they may come to your house - that happened to a friend

Waxonwaxoff0 · 05/10/2021 05:06

They called me 4 times during my 10 day isolation.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 05/10/2021 06:17

One phone call per child a few hours after test results. Which meant I got called at 8am Saturday and Sunday last weekend. Thats it.

Faircastle · 05/10/2021 09:55

They phoned me on day 4, day 7 and day 10.
Usually around 8am.

OrangeVelour · 05/10/2021 10:04

I've had three calls so far (am on day 8), and they said they wouldn't call again until day 10.

Tatum1234 · 05/10/2021 13:54

Ds2 tested positive Saturday and Ds3 on Sunday. So far they’ve called me 8 times Sunday, 7 times yesterday and twice today. I can’t believe how bad their system is. They have told me ds2 is a close contact to ds3 and needs to test even though he was positive first! Their systems just don’t match details up.

Tatum1234 · 05/10/2021 13:55

I’m near Stoke too btw. When ds1 had it last month they didn’t call at all until day 6.

Bordois · 05/10/2021 13:59

I had 3 calls for me and 1 for my 9 year old

IsabellesMissingSock · 05/10/2021 14:01

No they do not call every day. Nothing like.

NotMrsTumble · 05/10/2021 14:01

Scotland. When teen DD had it last month they didn't get in touch at all. No contact other than the text /email to say PCR was positive and to isolate from onset of symptoms, or date of test, whichever was earlier.

confusedmummy123 · 05/10/2021 14:13

It seems really sporadic then from everyone's replies. We are day 7 today and no call from when ds had positive results Wednesday morning.

emmy4 · 05/10/2021 14:17

I tested positive Wednesday and I have had one phonecall from Test and trace which was on Sunday morning.

idontlikealdi · 05/10/2021 14:21

Called every day, same robotic can't deviate from the script. Not their fault but pita when you just want to rattle through. We were all positive so had to go through it four times A day.

ParkheadParadise · 05/10/2021 14:23

Bloody hell @idontlikealdi that sounds a nightmare.

idontlikealdi · 05/10/2021 14:23

@ParkheadParadise

Bloody hell *@idontlikealdi* that sounds a nightmare.
It was, good job we didn't have anything else to do!
Bordois · 05/10/2021 14:26

Yes, the no deviating from the script was particularly irritating!

IsabellesMissingSock · 05/10/2021 14:47

@idontlikealdi why didn't you just ignore the calls?

Bubbublish · 05/10/2021 22:28

I was called everyday but after the first few days I ignored the calls because I was very unwell. When I was discharged from hospital (10 night stay) I came home to 2 identical letters (no stamp) to say they had come round. I felt harassed to be honest

academicallyblonde · 06/10/2021 12:18

I am on Day 3 and, so far, no-one has rung me at all. I actually wish they would as the app and the health team at the council are giving me two different dates for the end of my isolation and I would like it clarified.

mariebaby3 · 06/10/2021 15:03

I had one text with a link to complete a form for contacts and that’s it.

Dollartuckedinsidemyshoe · 06/10/2021 15:07

Today is my first day out of self isolation, I tested positive a week last Sunday, didn’t have a single phonecall or text from track & trace.

My husband tested positive at the same time and had a text telling him to self isolate and that was it

CandleWick4 · 06/10/2021 15:41

Both my DC have had covid. I got the call the day after the positive PCR for each. Just the one call the whole time. However my MIL was getting a call everyday. In the end FIL answered and said she’s sick in bed which she was. It was a real bother for them.

degsydoodoos · 06/10/2021 15:50

I had one call from them for DS (the morning that his PCR result came through) followed by 3 calls for me (about 4 days apart each). The call for DS was quite long and asked lots of questions about where he'd been, who else lived in the house etc. I filled all that stuff in online regarding myself so the 3 calls that I got were just quick, how are you, do you need help with anything calls. I've also had 2 or 3 "thanks for isolating. remember you must isolate until x date" texts from them.
