How long between covid infection and flu jab

DH currently has covid. We have flu jabs booked on what would be day 12 after DH had positive test. Is this too soon? Or does it depend on how well he feels.

Keen to get the flu jab but also to make sure we give it the best chance of being effective.

We were advised 28 from positive test so my son tested positive on the 30th and our is booked for the 28th November, I tested positive yesterday so think it'll have to be put back until after the 1st week of November.

Thanks @Funkopopper. Was it the GP that advised 28 days?

It was, took her a while to confirm it but she said it was better to be safe

Sorry meant to say that the flu jab was booked for the 28th October - I wish there was an edit buttonGrin

I asked at the pharmacist last week. I was told you have to wait 28 days after Covid to have the covid vaccination. The flu jab you could have whenever after covid so long as you don't have a temperature and feel well
