Partial loss of taste

If you lost your taste/smell with COVID was it complete or partial?

I've got a heavy 'cold' runny nose sore throat but no fever or cough.

Just ate dinner and realised I couldnt taste everything? Could taste strong stuff like ketchup so not sure if it's just as I'm bunged up?

Partial initially but then vanished completely.

I'd get a PCR just in case as you do now have an official symptom. It could just be the side effect of a cold but when I had Covid it did present as a cold, my initial symptoms were sneezing and runny nose, I never had a cough at all.

I found it was gradual
But I could easily have just thought I lost taste and smell because I had a cold

Ok thanks I'll book a PCR

Partial initially then total loss of taste and smell. I've never had anything like this before. It's very strange

Have you tested positive? I'd advise getting a test - results come back quickly.

Might not be covid. Last year I had a reduced sense of taste at Christmas. Smell wasn't really affected. I did a test and it was negative. I had a mild tooth/throat infection and used corsodyl which I think killed my taste buds!
