Travelling to Spain October

Would like to ask your advice please on travel. We have the opportunity to go to Spain (Mallorca) early October. Not vaccinated - have tested positive for covid a month ago.
Will be taking DC who are primary age.
Any ideas on what the procedure will be by then? Would the DC need to isolate on return to the UK? Will we isolate on arrival there?
I am desperate to go but I am worried about DC school. They are doing well and have a tutor but if they are away and then need to quarantine it will be a deal breaker for me I think.

Gov.uk is your friend. As much as I'm frustrated by Boris et al, the gov website does at least clearly state the rules, unlike some other countries.

Why would anybody need to isolate on arrival? Amber list rules do not apply to children as far as i'm aware? And there is no quarantine UK-Mallorca.

Enjoy your trip. The only thing to be aware of is that the Balearics have their own health control form to complete - no idea if that's in addition to the spanish one or not as our flights have been internal.

Oh, and leave plenty of time for check in at the airport both ways. The last time I went through Mallorca the check in queue was looooong and ppl were grumpy. Unavoidable as the documentation needed to be checked but annoying all the same.

@Honkingallthewaytothebank thank you! That's really helpful. I appreciate you pointing this out to me. I have no idea about this stuff at all as I hadn't yet considered any travel and have been mostly at home so have kept away from the news etc for my mental Heath.
As I am not vaccinated I will probably need to quarantine / test and release I think. I can't understand the rules concerning the kids though as it states they would also need a test to release but I thought they didn't need to isolate 🤯

Me again! Just wondering if anyone has had experience travelling recently in Spain Balearics? I am thinking of booking last minuite and just wondered if you can get your test to return to Uk done there or if you need to take them with you (have seen this advertised)

The rules changed 4th October there is no need for tests to return now (not sure if that's different for the unvaccinated, it probably is)

In tenerife you can get tested at hospiten I think they are a Spanish chain? Or you can take purchased tests

Not sure you can really do 'last minute' when you're not vaccinated as you will all need 72 hours before PCR tests to enter Spain

UK info at the moment.

Obviously it would be a lot easier if you were vaccinated but I’m sure you have a good reason not to be.

littlegiant · 09/10/2021 07:43

Yes, do have good reason to be unvaccinated.
I have a same day results PCR test today. That should be okay for us to travel tomorrow?
