Has anyone else’s school sent one? Cases are very high in 3 year groups (secondary)

It’s advising us to test them twice a week and for the school to put some actions in place - better ventilation, assemblies outside etc. No masks yet. Shouldn’t that be one of the first thing’s bought back?

Does anyone know how many cases this might mean as a % to send this out? We have no idea just how bad it is.

I’m late pregnancy now so wondering at what point I keep them home and we all self isolate before the due date. I’d hate for anyone to be ill and have to segregate away from the baby.

I thought it had to be 10% but I am not sure.

Speak to the school about your concerns perhaps they will be sympathetic and help you to decide what to do.

Our secondary school has reintroduced masks in corridors and dining hall, and has stopped assemblies. Not sure how many cases there are, but my daughter was on a lesson and 2 other children had also dialled in as they had tested positive.

Primary school has moved 2 classes to remote learning for at least a week at half of each class has tested positive plus both teachers and teaching assistants in both classes.

We have an insane number of cases right now.

It’s strange that the daily cases aren’t rising.

I had a read of the school Covid policy the other delay and it explained exactly how many cases were needed to trigger masks etc. Every school should have the same I would think

But I agree it’s strange about daily cases. And it’s strange that nothing is in the media …

My kids' school sent almost the same email at the beginning of last week. The Covid mitigations included mask wearing as well as the ventilation etc. Ds2 (15) says 11 people in his tutor group (of 32) are off right now.

They are in school aged children, decreasing in other groups.
