Anyone test negative on day 2, then positive on day 8?

Just that really. Was identified as a close contact through work, and tested negative. Have to go back on day 8 for another test. Just wondering the chances of testing positive on the next test.

I would imagine day 8 is more likely than day 2 which seems very soon to catch cases

Thank you, that's what I thought as well.

I have a colleague who tested negative (PCR) on day 2 following contact. On day 6 she tested positive on a LFT.

Having said that my DD had contact with three positives on the same day (two different friendship groups), tested negative on day 3 and 6 (PCRs).
