Covid home test kits - how long do they last?

So we ordered PCR home tests when my son tested positive. For one reason and another, we haven't used these yet. Do they have a shelf life if they haven't been used? Thank you

The kit / swab should have expiry dates marked on them.

My lateral flow test packs are showing both manufacture and expiry dates with 2 years between them, in 8 digit formats of year, month, day e.g. today would be 2021.09.19

There may be a time limit on commercial PCRs for the booked processing such as to be returned to the lab within 30 days

Thanks Tommika. The only date I can see is on the swabs which say 10/2023. But not sure about the liquid in the tube? There is no date on there or anywhere else on the test kits.
