My husband tested positive on friday, symptoms started on thursday. Myself and 2 DC tests have come back negative. I know with the new rules that this means they can go back to school tomorrow, which they want to do, but i'm just not sure how I feel about this. wwyd?

Yes I would send them to school.

We had a similar situation this past week- eldest child tested positive first, I had no idea youngest could still go in until School-set me straight- we sent her in after negative LF and PCR. LF daily before she went in (age 4 poor thing). I got it, followed by my husband (both double vaccinated) - but our youngest must be made of steel as she has breezed through without getting it. Obviously she couldn’t go in once we had it as no one could take her. It felt a bit odd sending her in but those are the rules in England at the moment….

Send them in

Teachers should be vaccinated which will lesson symptoms

This was never about stopping covid

I spoke with the school on friday and they said they can come back on monday as long as they have a negative PCR. I think i will send them and do lateral flows each morning. DH has been completed isolated from us since friday morning so fingers crossed.
